Pokrovskiy - Production

The first gold was poured at Pokrovskiy in 1999 by cyanide heap-leaching.The RIP plant was commissioned in 2002 and subsequently expanded in 2004 and 2006. The RIP plant operates seven days a week, 365 days a year. The heap-leaching facilities at Pokrovskiy are seasonal and operate only in the warmer months of the year.

Performance at Pokrovskiy was strong throughout 2011. The mine’s total production for the year was 91,800oz. This was a scheduled decrease compared to 2010 as the mine approaches the end of its mining life.
